Aspiring musical artists are encouraged to test the limits of their song ideas as well as learn the basics of engineering a recording session. Students will begin with a song idea and learn how to structure the song one piece at a time. Students will then produce their own song by selecting instruments to record a music track. Finally, students will learn how to engineer their own session by setting up microphones, amplifiers, and audio interfaces, and running recording software like GarageBand and Digital Performer.
